One of the most famous real estate property in Hyde Park is the Robie House.  The home was completed in 1909, by the famous Frank Lloyd Wright for Frederick Robie.  The Hyde Park home is a architectural master piece known for its open layout and linear geometry of form.  Its was created by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie School of Design.

Tours of this amazing home is available to the public Thursday through Monday.  No tours are available on Tuesday and Wednesday.  It is highly recommend that you make reservations because you can’t get a true appreciation of this Prairie style home without seeing it from inside and outside personally.

For those visiting the Hyde Park area and want to see it, the home is located at 5757 S. Woodlawn Avenue.  The home is right on the border of the University of Chicago.

This weekend at the Museum of Science and Industry, those living in Hyde Park will get to enjoy the Science Storms exhibit.  Featuring 20 foot lightning bolt.  Understand the physical phenomenal of high funnel clouds and lightning storms.  Its believe that this exhibit will become a permanent exhibit at the Museum so those in Hyde Park who can’t make to it this weekend should not worry.

Hyde Park is home to the University of Chicago, the Hyde Park Art Center, Museum of Scient and Industry, and Oriental Institute.  But for those who are Frank Lloyd Wright historians, the area is known for the famous Robie House.  It was one of Wright’s master pieces.

Hyde Park border’s Lake Michigan so there are many parametric views of the beautiful lake as well as a lot of open spaces.  The Point, known for lakefront park land allows hikers, bikers, joggers, runners, sunbathers, picnickers, cross-country runners, and outdoor fans to enjoy the outdoors and to gives everyone an opportunity to see the spectacular downtown skyline from the south side of the city.
